Meet Safely
Your safety matters to us. Here's how we help protect members, and what you can do to stay safe when meeting someone new.
Verify before you meet
Only interact with profiles that carry our verified badge. Verified members have confirmed their identity and photos with our team.
Keep communication on-platform
Our messaging system is encrypted and monitored for abuse. Moving conversations to unverified third-party apps early removes that protection.
Meet in public first
For a first meeting, choose a public venue — a restaurant, hotel lobby, or lounge. Share your plans with a trusted friend, including who you’re meeting and where.
Trust your instincts
If something feels off — inconsistent stories, pressure to send money or move fast, refusal to video call — it’s okay to step back or end contact.
Never send money to someone you haven’t met
Requests for gift cards, wire transfers, or crypto from someone you’ve only spoken to online are a common scam pattern. Report these immediately.
Report concerning behavior
Use the report button on any profile or conversation, or email us directly. Our team reviews every report and takes action on violations of our community standards.
If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (911 in the US) first. For platform-related concerns, reach our team at noreply@gild3d.com.
